Krishna Food Court

Opening up Shop No 1 at 12 2 823/25 every morning is quite a routine now. Krishna Food Court isn't a massive place with waiters in suits or anything like that. It’s more of a spot where you grab a quick bite and get on with your day. We’ve got a few tables, but during the lunch rush, it’s mostly standing room or people taking parcels back to their offices. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of spatulas hitting the pans and the steam from the rice cookers. We try to keep a variety of things on the menu so people don't get bored coming here every day. It gets pretty humid inside when we are busy, but we’ve got the fans going as high as they’ll go. My family helps out with the prep work, chopping vegetables and making sure we don't run out of sambar mid-way through the afternoon. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We just want the food to taste like it was made properly and for the plates to be clean. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when a big group shows up all at once, but we manage to get everyone fed eventually. It’s a simple setup, and we like it that way. You’ll find us right there at the shop, usually busy with an order or cleaning down the counters.
