Ramoji Film City

You can find us at 9-1-1/218 in the Defence Colon area of Langer House. We’re a bit away from the actual movie sets, but this is where a lot of the local coordination for Ramoji Film City happens. It’s a regular building in a residential-feeling part of Hyderabad. The office is pretty simple. We have some posters of old movies on the walls, but they’re starting to curl at the edges. Mostly, we are just handling the logistical side of things, making sure everything is ready for whatever production is coming up next. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking schedules. The neighborhood is quiet compared to the city center, which is nice. We have a small team here, and we’ve all been together for a while. Sometimes we bring in lunch and eat at our desks while we finish up some reports. It’s not a glamorous film studio with stars walking around; it’s where the boring but necessary stuff gets done. We have a few old filing cabinets that squeak every time you open them. We don't really have a lobby, just a front door that leads right into the main room. It’s honest work in a part of Hyderabad that we’ve come to know very well over the years. We just keep things moving behind the scenes. We usually leave the windows open to catch a breeze, even if it brings in some dust from the street.
