Our kitchen is tucked away behind Royal Furniture in the East Anand Bagh area of Malkajigiri. It isn't a fancy office with a receptionist or anything like that. It is mostly just a large workspace where we do all the heavy cooking and packing for the events we handle. We have been doing catering for weddings and small family parties around this neighborhood for quite a few years now. Most of our work comes from people who have lived here forever and know our family. It gets really frantic back here when we have a big order to get out, especially during the peak wedding season when everyone is getting married at once. We do not have a sales team. It is just a few of us who know the recipes and how to load the delivery vans properly. We spend a huge amount of time cleaning vegetables and checking that we have enough spices in the pantry. The 500047 area is where we grew up, so we know almost every local community hall and residential street. Sometimes the traffic in these narrow lanes makes it hard to deliver on time, but we usually find a way. We aren't trying to be the biggest catering company in the city. We just want to make sure the food is hot and tastes right. My wife usually handles the lists while I stay in the kitchen. It is hard work, but it is our life.
