Mbd Foods

Our place is at 5-241 in the RK Nagar Colony. It’s right in the Rajendranagar Mandal area. We handle food products here at Mbd Foods, mostly packing and getting things ready for the local market. It’s not a giant factory or anything like that. We started out in a much smaller room and eventually moved into this current spot as we needed more space for the bags and the sealing machines. The colony is usually quiet, except when our delivery rickshaws are loading up in the morning. We have a few ladies from the neighborhood who come in to help with the sorting and the cleaning. It’s a very hands-on process. We don't use a lot of high-tech gadgets; it’s mostly just people doing the work by hand. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes it tough, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We focus on basic food items that everyone needs in their kitchen. We don't do much advertising because most of our customers are people we’ve known for years. The neighbors sometimes drop by just to say hello or to see what we are working on that day. It’s a simple business. We try to keep the place clean and the orders moving out on time. There’s always a bit of a rush before the holidays, but otherwise, we just keep a steady pace throughout the week in our little corner.
