We are based in Hyderabad, specifically focusing on the Lsg Sky Chefs operation here. If you’ve ever eaten on a plane leaving the city, there is a good chance the food passed through our hands. Our facility is a busy place, running on shifts that never really stop because the flights don't stop. It’s a lot of stainless steel, white hats, and people moving quickly to get the trays loaded. It’s not a fancy restaurant where you sit down and look at a menu. It’s more like a giant, very clean engine that produces thousands of meals. The smell of fresh bread and cooked vegetables is always in the air, which is nice, but it can get tiring after an eight-hour shift. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure everything is sealed up tight. The logistics of getting the food from our kitchen to the actual aircraft is the hardest part. The traffic in Hyderabad doesn't always cooperate with flight schedules. We have a team that knows the shortcuts and the best times to move the trucks. It’s a lot of hard work behind the scenes that most passengers never think about. We don't have a storefront for the public, just a secure area where the real work happens. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we’ve got a good group of people who know the routine inside out and just get on with it.
