We’re located at 5 218 in Bhavani Nagar. It’s a straightforward setup where we focus on bricks. We’ve been here for a while, and most of the locals know where we are. Dealing with bricks is a heavy, dirty job, but it's what we know. We spend our days out in the yard or talking to drivers about delivery routes. The weather really affects us—when it rains, everything slows down and the mud makes it hard to move the trucks. We don't have a fancy office or a marketing team. It’s just us and a few workers who help with the loading. People come to us because we’ve been in the area and they know we won’t give them the runaround. We try to keep enough stock so people don't have to wait, but sometimes the kiln schedules are out of our hands. It's a lot of manual work and checking the quality of the batches as they come in. We might have some chipped bricks here and there, which we usually set aside for cheaper sales. It isn't a complicated business, but it takes a lot of physical effort. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day. Most evenings we're just tired and ready to close up shop. It’s a simple life but it keeps the bills paid and the builders happy.
