King Horn Bakery,Habsiguda

King Horn Bakery is over in Nacharam, tucked inside the first building right by Zee Shoe. We are at house number 4-82/4. Md Abdul Shukkur is the one who keeps things running here. We aren't a fancy cafe with a bunch of tables. It's mostly just a place where we bake and sell. You can smell the bread from down the street when the ovens are going in the morning. We make basic things like milk bread, buns, and those hard biscuits people like to dip in tea. We start work very early, usually while most of Hyderabad is still asleep. The kitchen is hot and full of flour. We have been here for a while and the locals know our schedule. They come by for the fresh pav in the evening. We don't have any marketing people or glossy menus. We just put the trays out and people buy what they need. Sometimes the batches come out a little darker than others but they still taste good. It’s a small team of us. We mostly talk about the weather or how the local cricket team is doing while we work the dough. The shop is simple and functional. We don't have a lot of extra space. It’s just a local bakery doing its thing for the neighborhood. We focus on the baking and leave the rest to others. By the time we clean up and head home, the sun is usually starting to go down.
