Jet Airways has a spot here at Aai Qrts B-9 in Prakashnagar, Begumpet. This is in Hyderabad. These are the quarters near the airport, so you can hear the planes taking off and landing all the time. It is a bit noisy, but you get used to it after a few days. We use this location for our staff and some administrative work that needs to be close to the airfield. The quarters are not fancy; they are just standard airport housing. We have some office space set up inside one of the units. Most of our work involves coordinating with the crews and making sure the schedules are being followed. We have a lot of maps and charts on the walls. Prakashnagar is a busy area because so many airport workers live around here. We usually walk to work or take a quick rickshaw if we are heading to the main terminal. It’s a very practical way of living and working. We don't have a big corporate office with leather chairs here. It’s mostly just desks, phones, and people in uniforms coming in and out. The weather in Hyderabad is usually hot, so we keep the coolers running as much as possible. It is a tough job with long hours, especially when flights are delayed. We just try to stay on top of the paperwork and make sure everything is ready for the next flight out of Begumpet.
