Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo is situated in Old Alwal, specifically at Plot No-33 in Bharathi Nagar. It’s a busy part of Secunderabad, and being in the cargo business, we’re always on the move. The house number is 1-10-170-22/2, but most people just find us by looking for the big gates near the plot. There is always a lot of dust in the air from the trucks coming and going nearby. Inside the office, things are pretty straightforward. We have a few big tables where we spread out the manifests and shipping papers. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush chairs or expensive rugs. It’s all about getting the crates moved and the records updated. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the morning, so it gets warm early in the day. We have a small cooler in the corner for water, and that stays busy. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and we stay late into the evening under the fluorescent lights. Old Alwal has its own pace, a bit slower than the main city, but here in the office, it’s always a bit of a rush to meet deadlines. We’ve been here long enough that we know the local chai wallahs and the courier guys by name. It’s just a regular cargo office doing the daily grind.
