Hotel Taj Krishna has a Banquets Department that operates out of Hno-2-2-1118/1/7 in New Nallakunta. Even though the main hotel is over in Banjara Hills, this specific office handles a lot of the behind-the-scenes work for the events and parties. New Nallakunta is a very different vibe from the fancy hills; it is a crowded, lively neighborhood with lots of shops and houses packed together. We spend our days here coordinating menus, talking to decorators, and making sure the guest lists are correct. It is a lot of logistics and manual work that people don't see when they are at a wedding. Our office is tucked away in a residential building, so it feels more like a home than a hotel department. We have stacks of linens in one corner and boxes of centerpieces in another. It can get a bit cramped when we are preparing for a massive event, but we make do with the space we have. The staff here is used to the chaos of the banquet industry. We eat our lunch together at a big table and talk about the upcoming weekend rush. There are always phone calls coming in from people wanting to change their flower arrangements or add more chairs. We just take it one step at a time and try not to get too stressed out when things go a bit sideways. It is hard work, but we like the energy.
