Hotel Anand Regency

Rajahmundry is a busy place, and we are right in the thick of it at Seethampet. Hotel Anand Regency has been standing here at D.No 17-16-11 for quite some time now. Kvk Swamy's son is the one usually around making sure things aren't falling apart. We get all sorts of people walking through our doors. Some are just passing through for work, while others are here for family functions. It’s an old building, so it has its quirks, like the way certain doors creak or how the stairs feel under your feet. We aren't some big international chain with a manual for everything. If a guest has a problem, they just come down to the front desk and tell us, and we try to fix it right then. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are clean and the water is running hot. Sometimes the power cuts out in the middle of a hot afternoon, and we have to scramble to get the generator going. That’s just part of life in Andhra Pradesh. We don’t have a fancy kitchen, but we know where to get the best local food if someone asks. We just want people to have a place to sleep that doesn't cost them too much. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it long enough that we don’t really know any other way to spend our days than greeting folks here.
