Ghanshyam Sarode Textiles

Ghanshyam Sarode Textiles is based out of Ameerpet in Hyderabad. We’re over at Soni Nivas in the Ameerpet Colony. It’s a busy area and the shop is usually full of fabrics and different types of cloth. We spend most of our time sorting through stocks and talking to people who come in looking for something specific. Hyderabad has a long history with textiles, and we’re just a small part of that tradition here. The space is a bit tight because of all the rolls of fabric piled up. You’ll find us at C/O Soni Nivas if you’re walking through the colony. It’s not a big corporate showroom. It’s more of a place where we actually work and handle the day-to-day business of cloth. We’ve been here at zip code 500 016 for quite a while now. Some days are slow and we just sit and reorganize the shelves, and other days it feels like everyone in Ameerpet is dropping by. We don’t have a fancy website or a lot of bells and whistles. We just know our fabrics and we stay here in the colony to serve the local folks and whoever else finds their way to us. It’s a family-style environment where things get done at their own pace. We handle the textiles, we talk to the weavers, and we make sure the orders go out when they are supposed to. It's just a regular shop doing regular work with textiles in Hyderabad.
