Dubai Times

Dubai Times has its space at 9-4-116/32/A in Balreddy Nagar. It’s a part of Hyderabad that feels a bit more tucked away. The office is where we handle the distribution and some of the local reporting. It’s not a huge newsroom like you see on TV. It’s mostly just a few rooms with computers and stacks of newspapers everywhere. The smell of newsprint is very strong, especially in the mornings when the new batches come in. We have big tables where we sort through everything. Sometimes the delivery vans block the narrow street outside, and the neighbors complain, so we have to move things quickly. The staff is always drinking tea and talking about the latest news. It’s a bit messy with notes and old papers piled up on the desks. We have a small kitchenette where we make coffee. The lights are a bit dim in the back hallway. We don't really have visitors, so we don't worry too much about keeping everything perfectly neat. It’s a working office. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away. When a big story happens, it gets pretty hectic, but most days it’s just a steady rhythm of checking facts and getting the pages ready. Balreddy Nagar is quiet at night, which is nice because we often work late to meet our deadlines. It’s just our little corner of the world.
