Day Break Restaurant & Caf

Day Break Restaurant & Caf is located in the cellar of Liberty Plaza in Basheer Bagh. It’s actually at 7/8 Cellar, 3-6-365. Being in a cellar means you have to walk down the stairs, and it’s a bit shielded from the sun, which is nice when Hyderabad gets really hot. Liberty Plaza is an old building and it has its own character, though the parking can be a real headache sometimes. We started this place because we wanted a spot where people could just grab a tea or a quick snack without any fuss. The ceiling isn't very high and the lighting is just some basic bulbs we put up. It’s a bit cozy, or maybe cramped depending on how you look at it. We have some young people coming in after college and some office workers who just want to sit away from their desks for thirty minutes. The walls have a few simple pictures but nothing really professional. We do our own cleaning and sometimes the chairs squeak a bit on the floor. It’s not the kind of place you go for a grand dinner, but it works for a casual break. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background. Basheer Bagh is always moving, so it’s good to have a little corner that stays relatively still. We just make the food as the orders come in and don't try to be anything we aren't.
