Our office is tucked away in Ashiana Apartments, right in the A C Guards area of Hyderabad. It’s up on the fourth floor, Flat 403. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people moving around. We’ve been operating Cox & Kings (India) Limited from this spot for a good while. It’s a regular office with computers, a few maps on the wall, and plenty of paperwork. We deal with all sorts of travel plans. People come in wanting to see the world or maybe just a quick trip to another city for work. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking flight schedules. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we just have to wait it out. It’s not a big, shiny corporate building, just a functional space where we get the job done. The desks are usually covered in brochures and sticky notes. We know the neighbors in the apartment block, and sometimes we grab a quick snack from the vendors downstairs when we have a break. Working in travel means you’re always thinking about somewhere else, even while sitting in a cubicle in Hyderabad. We try to keep things organized so nobody misses a flight or a hotel booking. It’s a lot of small details to keep track of every day. We’re just a small team here, doing our bit to help people get where they’re going without trouble.
