Carlson Wagonlit Travels

Our office is over in Malakpet, right on the Govt Press Road. We are on the fifth floor of Skill Apartments, Flat No 503 to be exact. If you know the area, you know 16-3-990 is near the main hub where all the traffic is. Being up on the fifth floor is nice because it gets us away from the noise of the street a little bit. We spend most of our time on computers or on the phone, trying to sort out tickets and travel plans for people. It’s not always easy, especially when flights get delayed or someone changes their mind at the last minute. We’ve been in this building for some time now. The elevator sometimes takes a while to arrive, so we’ve learned to be patient. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in travel, more than you’d think. We have desks piled with folders and maps. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows, but we have the fans going. We aren't a big flashy agency with posters everywhere. It’s just a small space where we get the work done. People from the neighborhood drop by sometimes just to ask about train timings or passport stuff. We do what we can to help them out. It’s a steady job and we like being part of the Malakpet community. Most days are just about checking dates and confirming bookings over and over again until the sun goes down.
