Call Center

We operate a call center out of B-12/191 in Kalyani, over in the Nadia district of West Bengal. It is not a massive skyscraper like you see in the movies; it is just a regular building where we have our setup. The noise of people talking on headsets is pretty much the background music here from morning until night. We handle all sorts of calls and queries for different people. It can be tiring, sitting in a chair for hours listening to different voices and trying to solve problems, but it is the job we do. Kalyani is a bit quieter than Kolkata, which we actually like. The air feels a bit better here and things aren't as rushed. We have a mix of younger people and some who have been doing this for years. Our office isn't anything fancy—just rows of desks and computers and some old chairs. We deal with the usual technical glitches and power cuts that happen sometimes, but we have backups to keep things going as best as we can. We don't have any big corporate speeches about changing the world. We just try to answer the phones and help people out with whatever they are calling about.
