Birlasoft

Birlasoft is set up over here in Hyderabad, specifically in the Kukatpally area. We are in the Sri Sai Brundavan Apartments, Flat No 501, which is in the 6th Phase of KPHB. It’s a residential-turned-office kind of vibe. Sunil Kumar is the one who looks after things here. We have a small team and we spend most of our time at our desks. Kukatpally is always so busy, so getting to the apartment in the morning can be a bit of a chore with all the traffic. But once we’re inside, it’s pretty quiet. We have our computers and some basic office stuff. It’s not like those giant IT parks you see in Gachibowli. It feels more like a home than an office, which is actually nice sometimes. We don't have a big cafeteria or anything, just a small kitchen where we make tea. We work on whatever projects come our way. Sometimes things get stressful and we stay late, other times it’s pretty relaxed. We aren't really into the whole corporate culture thing with meetings for everything. We just talk to each other across the room and figure things out. It’s a straightforward way to work. Most of us live nearby, so it’s convenient. We’ve been in this flat for a while and the neighbors are used to us by now. It is just our regular daily routine in Hyderabad.
