Bhavani Bricks

Bhavani Bricks is located at 57, Madhapur. It is a simple place, mostly just an open lot where we do all the work under the sky. We have been here for a good while, long before some of the newer parts of Madhapur started developing so fast. Our routine starts early, usually before the sun is even fully up, because that is the best time to handle the kiln. By midday, it gets so hot that you can barely stand near the fires. We produce the standard red bricks that most people in the area use for their housing projects. There is nothing very special about our setup; it is just a lot of hard labor and heavy lifting. We have a few guys who handle the molding and others who focus on the stacking. The address is 57, but most people just look for the stacks of bricks near the corner. We don't do much talking here; the work is too physical for that. Sometimes we run out of space if the orders don't move out fast enough, so the yard gets a bit cramped. The rain is our biggest enemy because it ruins the wet bricks before they are fired. We spend a lot of time checking the clouds and hoping for clear weather. It is a basic business, but we like the honesty of making something real with our hands every day.
