We started this car rental thing over in Secunderabad, specifically in Devinagar Colony. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s pretty quiet compared to the main city. We keep a few cars parked nearby. It’s not a huge lot or anything like that. People call us up when they need a ride for a trip or just to get around town for a day. We spend a lot of time checking the tires and making sure the engines are running okay. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, which isn't the fun part. My desk is usually covered in keys and logbooks. We’ve got this small office at H.No: 6-6-52/1. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for the house number. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside while we’re trying to move the cars around. We don't have a big uniform or a front desk person. Usually, whoever is free picks up the phone. We try to be fair with the prices. Most of our customers come from word of mouth around Kavadiguda. We’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. It gets busy during wedding season especially. We do our own cleaning of the cars most days. It keeps us busy from morning until late. We don't have fancy coffee machines, just a kettle for chai. It’s a basic operation but it works for what we need to do. Every car has its own quirks and we know them all by heart now.
