Basil Restaurant

Basil Restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the Lumbini Jewel Mall on Road No 2 in Banjara Hills. It’s a bit of a different environment being inside a mall rather than on a regular street. We have to follow the mall's timing and deal with the elevators and security. I usually arrive well before the mall opens to get the kitchen started and check on the supplies. We have a few windows that look out over the road, which is nice. The restaurant has enough space for families to sit comfortably, but we don't go for anything too fancy with the decor. It’s just a place to have a decent meal while you're out shopping or working nearby. I spend most of my time making sure everything is in order and that the staff is doing okay. We keep the music at a low volume because I think people should be able to talk while they eat. On the weekends, the mall gets very crowded and we have to work much faster to keep up with the orders. During the week, it's a bit quieter with mostly office people coming in for their lunch break. We serve a variety of common dishes that most people enjoy. Keeping a place running in Banjara Hills is a lot of work because of the costs, so we just focus on the daily tasks. It’s just us doing our best every day.
