Balaji Ganapathi Papads

At Balaji Ganapathi Papads, we make traditional snacks. Our place is located in Jalpalli, over in the Gaganpahad area of Rajendra Nagar. It is a busy household-style operation most of the time. We spend most of our mornings rolling out the dough and setting things out to dry. The smell of spices is always thick in the air, which I guess we have just gotten used to over the years. We started small, just making enough for the neighbors, but now we send them out to different shops around Hyderabad. It is a lot of manual labor, and our hands get tired, but it is a family thing. We use the address 7-3-142/3/A for all our mail and deliveries. The courtyard is usually full of trays when the sun is out. If it rains, we have to scramble to bring everything inside quickly before it gets ruined. We do not have any fancy machinery; it is mostly just done the old way by hand. People know us for being consistent with the taste. We do not do much marketing, mostly just word of mouth from people who like what we make. Sometimes we run out of stock because we can only make so many by hand in a single day. It is a simple life here in Jalpalli. We just focus on the recipes we have always used and try to keep the quality where it should be for our customers.
