Our place is called Krishna and it’s located in Nellooli Paramba. This is in the Kuthiravattom area of Calicut, Kerala. It is a very different setting from the big city offices in the north. We are surrounded by a bit more greenery here. The office is basically a house that we use for our travel business. It’s quiet for the most part, except for the birds and the occasional vehicle passing by. We handle travel bookings and help people with their trips. It’s a small operation. We don't have a big reception desk or anything. You just walk in and we are there at our desks. Kuthiravattom is a nice local area and we feel like part of the community. Most of our clients are people from around here or relatives of neighbors. We have been doing this for some time now. The atmosphere is very laid back. We don't use much corporate talk. We just tell people the prices and the schedules as they are. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when the weather is nice. It is a very simple way of working. We like being in Calicut and being based in a place like Krishna makes it feel more personal than a regular office block. The rain can get quite heavy here in the monsoon season, so we spend those days listening to the water on the roof while we work. It's a peaceful spot to be, and it suits the way we do things here.
