Almas Cafe

People usually find us by looking for the Umesh Chandra Statue here in S R Nagar. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to work. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The cafe isn't anything fancy, just a place with tables and chairs where you can sit down for a bit. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters and making sure the floor is swept because the street outside gets quite dusty. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud, but they keep the air moving when it gets hot in the afternoon. You can hear the traffic from the main road all day long. Most of the folks who come in are regulars who live nearby or work in the local shops. They just want a quiet corner to sit in. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just Almas Cafe, tucked away near the statue. The kitchen stays pretty busy, and there’s always the sound of cups clinking or people talking over their tea. It gets crowded around lunch, then things settle down for a couple of hours before the evening rush starts. It's a simple routine that we’ve gotten used to over the years. We stay open until the evening when the streetlights come on and the traffic finally starts to slow down a little bit. It is not a place for anything complicated, just a normal cafe for the people in this part of town.
