You can find Alan-Thilak Karate School International over at the Devnar School for the Blind premises on Mayur Marg. It’s a bit of a specific spot in Begumpet, but people in the neighborhood know where it is. We hold our sessions there, and the sound of kiais usually echoes through the area in the evenings. The mats get a lot of use, and they might look a bit worn down from all the footwork and practice. We aren't a big flashy gym with neon lights. It’s more about the white uniforms and the different colored belts you see lying around. We spend a lot of time just repeating the same moves until they look right. Sometimes the humidity in Hyderabad makes the hall a bit stuffy, but we just open the doors and keep training. It’s a simple setup where students of all ages come to put in their time. The location on Mayur Marg is convenient for a lot of families nearby. We’ve seen many students come through these doors, some staying for years and others just trying it out for a month. There’s no big secret to what we do here. We just show up, set out the gear, and get to work on the forms and the punches. It's a practical place for anyone wanting to learn karate without any extra fuss or fancy equipment. Just hard work on the floor. It’s been our routine for quite a while now.
