Alankar Academy School Of Music

People usually find us on the first floor of Ratna Complex here in Ameerpet. Alankar Academy School Of Music is tucked away in Flat 102, and if you’re walking by, you can usually hear someone practicing a scale or a song. It gets pretty busy in the afternoons when the kids show up after their regular classes. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The space isn't huge, but it fits the benches and the instruments we need. Most of the time, the rooms are filled with the sound of harmoniums or maybe a violin scratching out a new tune. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some old chairs in the waiting area where parents sit and look at their phones while they wait for the lessons to finish. Sometimes the traffic outside in Ameerpet is so loud it competes with the music, but we just close the windows and keep going. Teaching music is just what we do every day. It’s a bit of a maze getting into the building sometimes because of the other shops, but once you’re inside, it’s just about the notes and the rhythm. We try to keep things organized, though things can get a bit cluttered with music sheets and instrument cases left in the corners. It is a local spot where people come to learn, nothing more and nothing less. Just a simple place for music in the middle of a busy part of Hyderabad.
