If you walk down S P Road in Begumpet, you’ll find us at House No 6-3-1219/6/A. It’s a music school, so there is almost always some kind of sound coming from the small rooms. One room might have someone practicing the scales on a keyboard, while another has a student struggling with some guitar chords. It’s definitely not a quiet place to be. We have a few different rooms for lessons, and they are mostly filled with instruments, music stands, and old chairs. Some of the walls have old posters of musicians that have been there for years. People of all ages come here, from little kids whose parents want them to learn the piano to older adults who just want to play some songs on the weekend. We don't have a big stage or anything like that, just small spaces to sit and learn your notes. The fans are usually on full blast because it gets quite warm with the doors closed for privacy. Sometimes the instruments go out of tune because of the humidity in Hyderabad, so we spend a lot of time fixing that. It’s a bit messy with cables and music books lying around on the tables, but that’s how a music place usually looks when people are practicing. We are just a small group of people who teach music to whoever wants to learn in this part of the city. It’s a very casual setup, and we like the noise. It feels like home for those who love music.
