This location for Akbar Travels of India Pvt Ltd is over in Secunderabad. We are basically operating out of the space at Mrs. Lavanya’s place in Bheemrao Rao Nagar. It is in the 5-6/5-B section of the neighborhood. It is not like a big airport office or anything. It is more of a quiet, local spot in Old Alwal. Most people who come here are from around the block or have known us for a long time. The street is pretty narrow, so parking can be a bit of a pain if you are driving a big car. We spend most of our time on the phones or looking at schedules on the computer screen. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a small cooler that helps a bit. The walls have a few maps pinned up, though they are getting a bit yellowed at the edges now. We have some plastic chairs for when people need to sit and wait while we look things up. It is a very normal, everyday kind of workplace. We do not have a big flashy sign out front, just enough for you to know you are at the right door. Secunderabad has a different feel than the main city, a bit slower maybe. We like it that way because we can actually talk to people without feeling rushed. We just do our bit and keep things moving.
