This is the Vodafone Essar South Ltd office in Hyderabad. Our address is House Number 12-2-713/3 and we are located in Padmanabha Nagar. This area is part of Saptagiri and it is a pretty typical Hyderabad neighborhood. The house is a bit old but it serves as our base for this part of the city. We have a lot of equipment here and people are always coming and going to check on the lines and the signals. It can get pretty chaotic in the afternoons when everyone is trying to finish their work at the same time. The street outside is narrow and parking is always a headache for anyone who visits us. We don't have a big storefront for customers to buy phones. It is more of a back-end office where the technical work happens. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. We are just a group of people working for the phone company trying to keep the network running. Hyderabad is a big place and Padmanabha Nagar is just one small slice of it. We keep a fridge full of cold water because the heat is no joke here. It’s a plain office with lots of wires and some dusty desks but we know where everything is. We have been in this spot for a few years and most of the neighbors know us by now.
