About The Times Of India – Tourism in Hyderabad/ Secunderabad
Our office is located at 4-4-884/5 in Prem Bagh, which is right in the Sultan Bazar area of Hyderabad. If you have ever been to Sultan Bazar, you know how packed and lively it gets. The streets are narrow and there is always a lot of noise from the market nearby. We handle things for The Times of India from this spot, but it is more about the distribution and the local business side rather than the actual newsroom where reporters sit. The building is an old one, and you can feel the history in the walls. We have stacks of newspapers everywhere and the phones never seem to stop ringing with people asking about advertisements or deliveries. It is a very busy place to work. We spend a lot of time talking to the agents and the people who make sure the paper gets to your doorstep every morning. You have to be okay with the chaos of the bazaar to work here. We get our lunch from the local stalls and watch the crowds of shoppers go by. It is not a polished or quiet office by any means. There is always someone coming in to place a small ad for a lost item or a wedding announcement. We just keep the records straight and make sure the paperwork moves as fast as the news does. It is a gritty, real part of the city and we are right in the thick of it.
