Down here in Shafi Nagar, Moulali, things are always moving. Our address is 30-161/16, which is right in the heart of the Malkajgiri area. Taj Deccan Hotel is our small business. Don't get us confused with those huge five-star places downtown; we are a local establishment run by local people. The streets around here can get a bit narrow and crowded, especially on market days. We started this place because we saw a need for it in this specific part of Hyderabad. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too decorative on the outside. We focus on the daily stuff, like making sure the floors are swept and the lights are working. Most of our guests are people visiting relatives nearby or workers passing through for a few days. Malkajgiri has its own rhythm and we are just a part of that. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, but we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It is a very normal life here. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. We like it that way because it keeps things simple.
