We are based out of Gooty Rs in Anantapur, right near the railway tracks. My name is Maqbool and I work here with the rest of the team at H.No;9/521-B. Being part of Spprentice Telecomunication In Southwestern Railway At Banga means we are always looking at wires and signal boxes. It’s a bit dusty here in this part of Andhra Pradesh, and the sun gets really strong in the afternoons. Our day usually starts with checking the equipment and seeing what needs fixing along the line. It is a lot of walking and manual work. We aren't some big corporate office with air conditioning everywhere. Mostly, we are out in the heat or sitting in our small workshop area surrounded by tools and spare parts. Communication is important for the trains, so we have to be careful with what we do. We've been at this for a while, learning the ropes and figuring out how the older systems work with the new stuff. The neighborhood knows us because we are always around. Sometimes the work is slow, and other times everything seems to break at once. We just take it as it comes. It is steady work, and it feels good to be useful to the railway.
