Secretary

Our spot is at 12-2-709/C/198 in Padnabhanagar. It’s right there in Mehdipatnam, which is always a busy area of Hyderabad no matter what time it is. Being the Secretary's office means there is always someone coming in with a question or a form that needs a signature. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a standard block among many others in the colony. We have a lot of files stacked up because things move slowly sometimes when you’re dealing with all the paperwork that comes through here. The fans hum all day long to keep the heat away, but it still gets stuffy when more than three people are waiting in the hallway. We know most of the neighbors by name now. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s not too bad if the weather is okay. We spend our mornings sorting through the mail and the afternoons trying to catch up on whatever happened the day before. There’s a small shop nearby that sells decent biscuits, so that’s where we usually end up during the break. It’s not a high-pressure environment, but there is always something that needs fixing or someone who needs help finding a specific document. We just keep things moving as best as we can in this little corner of Mehdipatnam, and that is usually enough to keep everyone happy.
