About Receptionist – Tourism in Hyderabad/ Secunderabad
This place is located in Kommalapudi village, which is part of the Manubolu mandal in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. It is a very rural area, so things move a lot slower here than they do in the big cities. We don't have a big glass office or anything like that. It’s just a basic room where someone sits at the desk to help whoever walks through the door. Being in a village, everyone knows everyone else, so we often spend half the time just chatting about the weather or the crops. The roads can be a bit bumpy getting here, especially after it rains, and there is usually some cows or goats wandering around the outskirts. We have a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving on those humid afternoons. The walls are painted a simple off-white color and there are some old registers piled up on the shelves. We use a lot of paper here because the electricity can be a bit unreliable for computers sometimes. There is a bench outside where people can sit while they wait. It’s not a fancy job, but it is important for the people living in the village who need help with their documents or just want to ask a question. We stay open until the sun starts to set and then we head home.
