Our shop is located in the 500018 area of Hyderabad, which is a pretty central part of the city. We’ve been here in Andhra Pradesh for a long time, helping people figure out where they want to go. It’s a travel agency, so there are always maps and schedules lying around the office. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer checking for tickets and routes. It can get a bit chaotic when the holiday season comes around and everyone wants to leave at once. The office isn’t anything fancy, just some desks and a few posters on the walls of different places. We try to keep things simple for the people who walk in. Most of our day is spent dealing with delays or finding the right train or flight for someone. It’s a lot of talking and typing. We’ve got a small group of people working here who know the travel business pretty well. We aren’t trying to be a big global corporation; we’re just a local travel office in Hyderabad. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait, but that’s just how it goes. People come to us because they want to talk to a real person instead of just using a website. We just sit here, drink our chai, and get the bookings done for whoever walks through the door. It is a busy life but we are used to it by now.
