Rainbow Childrens'S Hospital

If you head over to Anand Nagar Colony in Khairatabad, you’ll find us right across from the Renuka Apartments. The address is 6-3-612/6A. This is the Rainbow Childrens'S Hospital, and as you can imagine, it is a very lively place. There is usually a line of strollers near the entrance and the sound of kids is everywhere. Some are crying because they don't like the doctors, and others are just running around the waiting area while their parents try to catch them. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but hospitals are always a bit chaotic. The staff here are mostly local people who know the Hyderabad area well. We’ve got colorful stickers on some of the walls to make it look less scary for the little ones. It’s not a quiet library kind of place. It’s a place where we are constantly checking temperatures and weighing babies. The pharmacy downstairs is always busy too. We see families from all over the city coming in. It’s a lot of work and the shifts can be really long, especially at night. We drink a lot of tea from the nearby stalls during our breaks. The building has been here for a bit, so people in the colony know us well. It’s just what we do every day, looking after the kids and helping the parents get through their medical visits without too much stress.
