Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and this area is no different. The road outside can get very noisy with all the taxis and buses going past all day long. We’ve been in this building for some time now, and it’s become our second home. Inside, it’s mostly just people at computers or talking on their mobile phones about supplies and schedules. It’s a lot of coordination work behind the scenes. Sometimes the office feels a bit cramped because we have so many files piled up, but we know where everything is. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief when the humidity gets high outside. We aren't really set up for visitors to just lounge around, as it’s more of a functional workspace for the staff. We usually order lunch from one of the small places nearby and eat at our desks while we finish up the morning tasks. Working in hospitality management from this side of things involves a lot of mundane details that people don't usually see. We just keep our heads down and try to stay on top of the list of things to do before the sun goes down and the evening rush starts again.
