At Nims Smile Train Cleft Project, we stay busy at our place in Prashanth Nagar. The address is 2-2-1130/9/B, right in New Nallakunta. It’s a quiet enough street most mornings until the patients and their families start arriving. We deal with a lot of coordination for the cleft project here. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to doctors and families who are often a bit nervous. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space with enough desks for everyone. We have files everywhere because there is always something to keep track of. Everyone who works here has been around for a while. We know the neighbors and the local tea shop guys. It gets a bit hectic when we have a lot of kids coming in for their checkups, but we manage. We don’t go for big fancy displays or anything like that. We just focus on the schedules and making sure the records are right. Sometimes the cooling doesn't work perfectly in the summer, but we just keep the fans going. It’s rewarding work, though we don't talk about it in a grand way. We just see it as our job to keep the project running smoothly from this little corner of Nims. New Nallakunta is a good place for us to be located because it’s easy for people to find once they get the directions right. We just do our bit every day.
