Kingfisher Red

Kingfisher Red is based at House No-81 in Lal Bazar. This is in the Tirumulgherry part of Hyderabad, India. Lal Bazar is an older neighborhood, and you can really feel that history when you walk around. Our office is inside a house, which makes it feel a lot less like a cold corporate building and more like a real place. We have the Kingfisher Red sign out there, but inside it is just a bunch of rooms with desks and chairs. The floors are a bit creaky and the windows let in the sounds of the local market. It’s a very grounded way to work. We spend our days dealing with whatever comes through the door. Hyderabad heat can be pretty intense in the summer, so we have the fans going full blast most of the time. We don't have any of those modern office perks like bean bags or espresso machines. We just have a kettle and some biscuits. It is a practical environment where people actually talk to each other instead of just sending emails. Being in Tirumulgherry means we are a bit away from the high-tech corridors, but we like it that way. It’s honest and it’s local. We just show up at House No-81, get through the list of tasks, and lock up at the end of the day. It is a simple life for us here in Lal Bazar.
