Kingfisher Airlines

The office is located in Begumpet, Hyderabad. If you know the area, you know it’s where the old airport used to be. Things are a lot quieter now than they were years ago when the planes were taking off right next door. We still use this space for some of the airline’s needs. It’s a big building with high ceilings and it feels a bit empty sometimes compared to the old days. We have desks set up in the main hall. Begumpet is a busy part of the city, so there is always traffic outside our windows. We can hear the honking all day. We handle things like records and some customer inquiries that still trickle in. The furniture is the same stuff we’ve had for a decade. It’s a bit worn out but it still works. We don't have any of those fancy modern office perks. Most of the people working here have been with the company for a long time. We talk about the old flights and how the airport used to look at night. We take our lunch breaks together in the small room at the back. Hyderabad has changed so much around us, with new buildings going up everywhere, but this spot stays pretty much the same. We keep the files organized and answer the phones when they ring. It’s a straightforward job in a part of town that has a lot of memories for us. We stay here until the evening when the traffic gets really bad.
