Johnson Controls India has an office at C/401 in the Blue Diamond Building, right opposite Shakti Nagar in Dahisar East, Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know Dahisar is way up north, and it has its own pace. The Blue Diamond Building is a landmark for us, and being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below. It’s a busy area with the trains nearby and all the traffic on the Western Express Highway. Our office is just a regular workspace. We have desks, some storage for our equipment, and a small area for tea. It’s not a shiny corporate headquarters, just a place where we get our engineering and control work done. Mumbai life is fast, so we are usually in early to beat the worst of the rush. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to fix things here and there over the years. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. People come in, do their shifts, and head back to the station. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, but our office life is very simple. We share the building with other small businesses, so there is always someone coming or going in the hallways. It’s a noisy, busy, and honest place to work. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs finishing before we head home in the evening.
