Ista Hotel

We are located right behind L.M. High School here in Dhenkanal. If you are walking down Hata Road, you just need to turn toward the back of the school and you will see the Balakrishna Maharana area. That is where Ista Hotel is. It is a quiet enough spot, though you can hear the kids at the school during their breaks. We have been here for a bit now, serving the people who come through this part of Orissa. It is not a huge place, just a regular hotel where people can stay when they are in town for work or visiting family. The road out front can be a bit bumpy depending on the season. We try to keep the rooms tidy and the gate open for whoever arrives. Dhenkanal is a small place really, so everyone kind of knows where everything is anyway. We do not have any big flashy signs, just the one so you know you are at the right door. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going. A lot of travelers stop by because we are close to the main school landmark. It is easy to give directions that way. Just tell them to go to the back of the high school and they will find us. We mostly just keep to ourselves and make sure the place stays running well for our guests. It is a basic setup, but it works for us and the people who stay here.
