About Indian Railways – Tourism in Hyderabad/ Secunderabad
We are over here at House Number 320 in the L.I.G area of K.P.H.B, Phase 7. This part of Hyderabad is always moving, but our little corner is tucked away a bit. Working for Indian Railways from this specific spot means there is always a lot of paperwork and people asking questions. It’s not like the big stations you see with all the noise and trains rolling in every minute. This is more about the administrative side of things and helping folks get their travel sorted out. The office is basically a converted residential space, so it feels quite cozy, almost like being at home but with more files. I spend a lot of my afternoon looking at schedules and trying to make sure the computer system doesn't lag when the weather gets bad. Sometimes the tea lady comes by and we take a ten-minute break to talk about the traffic on the main road. The walls are a bit plain, just some old calendars and a map of the rail routes. It’s a steady job and it keeps me busy from morning until evening. Most people who come here are from the neighborhood, so we see the same faces quite often. It gets a bit crowded on Monday mornings, but we manage. I’ve lived in Hyderabad long enough to know that patience is the main thing you need for this kind of work. We just keep things moving as best as we can without much fuss.
