We are based over in Ved Vihar, which is part of the Awho Colony in Tirmulgherry. It is a nice area because it is a military colony, so things are usually a bit more organized around here than in the rest of Secunderabad. Our office is at G-216. It is not a very large space, just enough for the desks and the property files we have to keep track of. Managing properties sounds like a big job, but mostly it is just answering phone calls and making sure the maintenance guys show up when they are supposed to. We spend a lot of time walking around the colony checking on things. The trees here are old and give a lot of shade, which is nice when you have to be outside in the heat. We do not really have a receptionist or a lobby. People just knock on the door and come in. It is a very local feel. We have been in this part of Secunderabad for a long time, so we know most of the families living in the colony. We do not have a big corporate culture or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the buildings in good shape and making sure the water pumps are working. It is practical work that needs doing, and we are the ones here to do it. Every day brings a different little problem to solve.
