We are Gurada Intelligence And Security Forces Pvt. Ltd. and our office is tucked away in Block No. 5 of the Railway Quarters in Kachiguda. It is a busy spot in Hyderabad where there is always a train whistle or someone walking by. We spend a lot of our time talking to young men who want to work as guards and making sure they have their uniforms sorted out. It’s not a glamorous job at all. Most of the day is spent on the phone or writing down names in big registers to keep track of who is stationed where. Some of our people work at night while the rest of the city sleeps and that means someone always has to be in the office to take a call if there is a problem. Being near the railway area means we get used to the noise and the constant movement of people. We started this because there was a need for regular folks to watch over buildings and shops around here. It’s a lot of responsibility keeping track of everything and making sure everyone shows up for their shift on time. Sometimes a guard doesn't show up and we have to scramble to find a replacement. It’s just the way things go in this line of work. We aren't some big corporate giant, just a local team trying to do a decent job every day and helping folks feel a bit more safe.
