Golkonda Hotel

Our place is right there at Bhatli Chock on the NH-6 highway in Bargarh. Being on the main road means we see a lot of trucks and travelers passing through at all hours. It can get pretty dusty with the traffic, so we are always sweeping the front area. The hotel isn’t very big, but it’s a spot where people can pull over and take a break from the road. We don’t go in for anything too flashy. The rooms are simple and we try to keep the food hot in the kitchen. Most of us who work here are from around Bargarh, so we know the area well. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living here, but we have a generator to keep things moving. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just word of mouth from drivers and people who travel this route often. We spend our time checking in guests, making sure the kitchen has enough vegetables, and keeping the place tidy. It’s a basic life, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. The highway is always loud, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure anyone who stays here has a decent place to rest before they head back out on the NH-6. It is an honest living and we are happy to be here.
