We spend our days out here in Shamshabad. It is quite a long way from the city center of Hyderabad, but this is where the action is for us. People are coming and going all the time, day and night. Sometimes the traffic on the way out here is really bad, but once you are actually at the airport grounds, things just keep moving along in their own way. It gets incredibly hot out here in the afternoons, especially when you are out near the tarmac or the parking areas. We see families crying when someone leaves for a job abroad and people hugging when someone finally arrives home after years away. It is just part of what we see every single day. We have been here for a while now. The building is really big and it can be hard to find your way around if you are not used to it. We just try to keep things ticking along. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard that everything slows down for a bit and we all just stand around waiting for it to pass. You get to know the regulars pretty well, like the taxi drivers who are always there and the folks working the small food stalls nearby. It is a busy life and it can be tiring.
