Genpact

This is the Genpact office over at D 97/98 in Hindu Colony. It is tucked away in Nanganallur, Chennai. The area is mostly houses and small shops, so it is a bit quieter than being right in the middle of the main city. We have people coming in for shifts at all hours because the work never really stops. Most of us take the train or bikes to get here every day. The walk from the main Mgr Road isn't too bad unless it is raining hard and the streets get messy. Inside the building, it is just a lot of computers and people with headsets on talking to folks far away. We drink a lot of coffee from the machine in the corner. Sometimes the air conditioning is way too cold and everyone wears sweaters even when it is boiling outside in Chennai. It is a regular office setup, nothing too special to look at. We do our work, have our lunch breaks in the small pantry, and head home when the shift is finally done. The security guard at the gate has been here forever and knows all our names. Some days are loud when everyone is on a call at once, but usually, it is just the sound of typing. We try to keep the desks tidy but there is always someone who leaves their lunch box or a stack of papers out. It is just a place where we work.
