Dell International

Working out of Plot No 73 is pretty much what we do every single day. It’s a big space but it’s mostly just filled with rows of desks and a lot of computer equipment. Since it’s Dell International, you can imagine there are a lot of electronics around. The building itself is quite plain on the outside, and you wouldn't really notice it if you weren't looking for the number. Inside, it’s a lot of humming from the server rooms and the sound of people typing away. We don't have a lot of fancy artwork on the walls, just some notices about safety and maybe a clock that’s a few minutes fast. The lighting is that bright office kind that makes you want to step outside for a break every now and then. We usually eat our lunch in a small break area or just at our desks if it’s one of those busy afternoons. There’s no big secret to how we operate; we just show up, log into the systems, and help out with whatever technical issues or orders are coming through. The parking lot at Plot 73 is always full by nine in the morning, so if you’re late, you’re walking from quite a bit away. It’s a regular office life with people complaining about the coffee or the temperature of the room. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on our screens until it is time to leave.
