Our office is located in Basheer Bagh, Hyderabad. We are on the 5th floor of Moghul’s Court, which is part of the STC of India building. We are officially care of M.S. Mohan Raj. The building is one of those older, solid structures in the heart of the city. Being on the 5th floor gives us a bit of a view, though it’s mostly other rooftops and the heavy traffic on the streets below. The elevators are old and sometimes you have to wait a long time, so we often find ourselves walking up if we are in a hurry. Inside, the space is shared and has that typical government building feel to it. There are high ceilings and large windows that let in a lot of light, which is nice. We deal with various administrative and coordination tasks here. There are stacks of files on the desks and a few old wooden cabinets. We don't have any modern decorations or anything like that. It’s a functional space where we get our daily work done. The area around Basheer Bagh is very busy, so there are always places to get food or run errands nearby. Sometimes the power goes out and the backup generator takes a minute to kick in. We just wait and then get back to whatever we were doing. It’s a steady kind of job in a part of town that has been a business hub for decades.
